This novella was SO amazingly tender and sweet! I didn't want it to end and I truly wish this was a full length novel as I would have LOVED seeing these two become a real couple, exposing their weaknesses, their hearts.Sam Alderton and Jasper Huxley have known each other most of their lives. As their mothers have been best friends since an early age as well. When Jasper was 17 and Sam 20 they shared a kiss neither of them forgot but thinking about seeing each other again 5 years later makes Sam weary. Weary of his reaction back then and insecure in himself after losing his left arm in battle.Sam is still struggling to find himself, his place in the world after returning from his military service. There is too many things he needs to relearn making him conscious of everything he can't do. A night spend alone with Jasper makes him long for more but afraid his appeal has gone with his left arm. Jasper couldn't want Sam more - with or without a hand. Spending time together is everything he could have wished for.It's just one evening yet it was the most beautiful heartfelt story. I truly wish we could have experienced this couple more. Well, Joanna promised we'll meet them in the next installment in the series so at least we'll have that. That being said if you want more there are the first two installments in the series - both novella length as well of - Lysander and Adam (Introducing Mr. Winterbourne & Mr. Winterbourne's Christmas).HIGHLY RECOMENDED!This story was originally published on "Gifts for the Season: Winter & Christmas MM Charity Anthology"More @ Ultra Meital Reviews.
